Girls’Day 2025 at the ZAL TechCenter

How do you actually control a robotic arm? What kinds of jobs exist in aviation research? And what does a typical workday at a research center look like? 24 girls got to experience exactly that at the Girls’Day at the ZAL TechCenter.

Together with ProTechnicale, we put together a diverse program: After a warm-up and the Klischeefrei quiz, a tour through the ZAL TechCenter took participants straight into the world of aviation research – from robotics technology to hydrogen propulsion.

Things got hands-on in the Robotic Workshop: technology to touch and try out. In addition, exciting insights into the proTechnicale programs, a career orientation workshop based on the Ikigai method, and an inspiring conversation with Mara Fuchs from DLR about career paths in technology and research.

A vegetarian lunchbox provided fresh energy and good conversation during the lunch break. The goal: to spark enthusiasm for STEM, showcase new perspectives, and inspire curiosity for the technologies of tomorrow. Many thanks to ProTechnicale and all the participants for a fantastic day!
